Freedom (Uxie)

He was definitely little. Wolf was scared he might break them. "you know, I don't have tiny tea cups for fairies..." he said as he went into the kitchen. "Would a saucer of water be too cat like? I don't want to be rude."

"That would be fine," Alex said. He was not too proud that he would care how he got the water. Just so long as he did.

"Oh, good." Wolf said, he put a tea towel onto the side and put Alex on top of it. "You're tiny. Did you know that? Of course you do." He said and sorted out a saucer full of water and slid it beside Alex.

"I do know that," Alex agreed. "Are you surprised?" Not that Wolf had seen his true form before but he could have looked it up if he'd wanted. Uxie had never bothered to find out if he had done any research into his real form or just gone off what Strife and Drake had told him. He laid down on the little tea towel and just focused on breathing as if that would help get the pain to go away faster.

"Yeah, kind of. I don't know why." Wolf said, he'd listened to the others talk about Uxie's form. He hadn't imagined kitten tiny. But that's what he'd gotten.

"Pixie doesn't exactly bring a large image to mind," Alex said, not really feeling well enough to laugh but still amused at how surprised Wolf turned out to be over his form. "Do you still like me even if I'm not cute anymore?"

"It's your soul I fell in love with, the very essence of who you are. Not what form you are wearing at the time." Wolf shrugged, it was a little odd but he'd get over it.

Uxie sighed softly. It was a neutral sigh. Just letting out a breath out of how tired he was. Wolf had such a nice answer, falling in love with his soul. "I worried you'd change your mind about me once you saw what I really am." Not that he was encouraging the feelings but it was sometimes hard for humans to see fiends as fiends when they wore human form.

"You thought it was a fleeting thing?" Wolf said, because he didn't believe in the type of love that was based entirely on looks. "You make a very cute boy, a weird looking fiend, but you have the most beautiful soul."

"I did not think it so fleeting from how persistent you were," Alex said. "Have been," he corrected himself. "But I still wondered if your mind might turn upon seeing me as I am truly am. I am not so inspiring to look upon as many others of my ilk."

"Well, no I mean I don't particularly want to rip your clothes off and slid into bed with you like this. But it's part of you, so..." Wolf shrugged, it didn't disgust him or anything. It did nothing for him.

Those words brought back to mind Alex's dreams for the night. He turned red and rolled over. "Ah," he said quietly. He couldn't get as bothered about all that while in that form, thankfully. His tails twisted around each other.

"What?" Wolf said, he was confused then. Had he said something wrong? Was he supposed to be sexually attracted to fiends? So confused.

"Nothing," Alex said quickly. He couldn't cope. He just couldn't even think about that. His body had completely freaked out from those dreams and his mind wouldn't stop reminding him of it. Wolf's words had just made that worse. "Wolf..." he said quietly. "I'm sorry...about earlier. I just wanted to know that you trusted me. I know what it means to you, to have freed me knowing that I might leave you for good even with the feelings involved...And I really do appreciate that you've done this for me, despite everything that could happen from it."

"I'm hoping." Wolf said, meaning that he was hoping his trust wasn't misplaced. "I couldn't just not free you anyway. It's not the right thing to do."

"You still could have waited," Alex said. "I wouldn't have known. You could have taken your time and kept me here with you for long in hopes that I would eventually cave to you. And I know that. So I appreciate that you didn't choose to do so."

"I thought about it." Wolf said, he wasn't going to lie. He'd thought about it, but he hadn't indulged. "the girls just now gave it to me, before I gave it to you."

"The girls?" Alex asked, surprised by that answer. "Where would they find such a...oh. Braxton." It was the only answer that made any sense. They spent time with Braxton in training and Alex wouldn't be surprised to learn that the relic was his. He seemed the type to have one.

"I didn't ask, just found it incredibly wonderful of them to give me such a gift, in hopes that it would change something between us. But that's up to you. Isn't it."

"I don't have any new answers for you," Alex said quietly. He did know that it was up to him. But while he was free, he still didn't have anything new to say. Not yet. "I am be free now but I am not going to be safe from his focus. He got me once and he might try again. I do not know. But at least now, if you choose to remain involved in helping me, I can at least provide you protection." Which went a long way in helping put some of that fear of his to ease.

"I can protect myself too." Wolf said, because he wasnt completely incapable. "I just choose you. Whatever form that is..."

"I know you do," Alex said. Here at least was the truth of it. Alex, still weak and helpless in his newly freed form, was right there for Wolf to say yes or no to. And he was still saying yes. So what happened next was on Alex. But he could not make that decision, not today, not as he was. He needed time. Perhaps he would get it. Perhaps he wouldn't.

"Do you need anything else." Wolf said, because he felt like this conversation had come to an end again.

"I don't know," Alex said again. He'd had his water. He'd laid down. Now he sat up slowly, just sitting there looking rather weak but adorable. "I have my abilities back but I seem to be having an issue with using them." At least he was able to talk to Wolf still. That was a good start.

"Then give yourself time to adjust. Yes?" Wolf suggested, it seemed the best idea. "Did you get enough water?"
