Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Yes, I did," the man agreed again with his wife. "She pointed it out to me that he'd come back so quickly. We didn't see him leave the house after that but once more after the game he came back again. And they don't have a back door to their house so he couldn't have left without us seeing."
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Is there anything else?" Drake asked, he was writing this down so there was that. He needed to go look around the house to see how they got out.
The Old lady shook her head. Not that she could remember.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
The old man also shook his head.
"Thank you for your time," Nuala said and smiled at them pleasantly. She walked away from the couple with Drake and whistled softly. Her little bird in the sky headed to the back. "I wonder how they got out without the couple seeing them?"

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"What did your bird find?" Drake asked. He wasn't a fan of them. He liked dragons. Sometimes kitties.
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
The little bird flew back to Nuala and dropped a light pink colored goop into her open hands. "She founds this on the windowsill," she said and looked it. "It's so...blobby. What is it?" she asked of Drake. She didn't know if it was even a clue but it wasn't something you'd normally find in a house, let alone on a windowsill.
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"That looks like a ditto, or well... Part of it." Drake said, he didn't touch it with his hands, but he pulled a napkin from his pocket to take it. "You might want to wash your hands..."
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Probably for the best," Nuala agreed. Her little bird brought her some water to wash her hands in until they were squeaky clean. "So this is part of the monster, yes? Is this enough proof? Do you think there's more that we could follow?"
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Let's go look," Drake said and headed off to the side of the house. "I'm not sure that the police are going to believe us. It's so far fetched. You know this area better than I, what do you think?"
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"I think the police would be damned to accuse me of lying," Nuala said with a little smirk. "But I would like more evidence to present before I play that card. They can't brush me aside but I want them to believe me and have it sit right with them. Let's try and find this thing," she said and headed towards the back of the house. She set the bird free again to try and find more of the goop from the fiend.
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"They usually like to live in damp places, dark too. Because it's easier to hide and people won't find them there easily." Drake said, spewing more knowledge from his brain. He had so much.
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Some place damp and dark? Like swamp lands? I don't think there are any places like that around here," Nuala said. She looked around the area of the back yard but there wasn't much. Again she sent a breeze out to feel what it could feel and see what it could see. "There's more goop by a manhole cover. Would a sewer do?"
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Oh yeah, they'd love that. I think it's a bad idea for us to go down there alone." Drake said, he didn't have any silver weapons on him.
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Should we go get Bobby?" Nuala asked. He hadn't asked if she had weapons, which it was likely that she had something given who she was and that self defense was necessary in case of kidnapping attempts. But silver was another thing entirely.
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Yeah. It might be better we come back tonight, when less people are around and search for the thing." Drake said and then went back around the house to the front.
Bobby was just coming down the stairs. "What's up?" He asked, he could tell they'd found something.
"There is ditto bits everywhere. Well not everywhere but it lead to a sewer. Thoughts?" Drake asked he pretty much let Bobby lead she. He was there.
"Hmm, I don't think going in now is a good idea. We need to get weapons and make a plan. Let's not go in half cocked, okay?" Bobby asked of them both.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
Muala listened to the hunters talk. "So what sort of weapons do we need?" Drake hadn't told her that it was silver that world hurt the creature.
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Silver blades. Bullets will hurt, but blades are better." Drake explained, but he told Bobby he agreed with the plan.
"I think it's better to come back at Dusk. Let's go tell your friends what we've found?" Bobby asked of Nuala. She'd know best if they could handle the news.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"I think we should," Nuala agreed. "But I'll tell her. She'll take it better coming from me. She knows my family's history after all. Not yours." Not that she knew theirs either but at least she knew that they were hunters. Beckie did not.
Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"No, that's better." Bobby agreed as he went over to the car and unlocked it before climbing into the drivers seat.
Drake opened Nuala's door again before climbing in himself.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
Nuala got into the car with them and was quiet as she thought of how to tell Beckie what was going on. She let her know that they were on their way.
When they arrived, Beckie was sitting by the window so she could let them in quickly. "Hey," she greeted, looking like she really hadn't gotten any more rest since they'd arrived.
Nuala was quick to run up the steps and give her a hug. "We have some interesting news. Let's go sit," she said. It would be easier that way.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
Hikari joined them with Jake. He needed to hear it too. She already had an idea what was going to be sad. She held his hand for support.
Drake and Bobby stood behind Nuala. But they didn't speak, she wanted to tell so they waited. If there was questions, they would answer.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"So, so far we know that Zack is innocent. We found a few things that point to what is framing him. And he's not the only one that's been framed. Two others are being accused of the same crime with their girlfriends."
"So he's a serial killer?" Beckie asked. "Wait, you said 'what'."
"It's a fiend," Nuala said apologetically. "One that can take on the appearance of others. That makes it a little hard for us to find concrete evidence. But we're going to work on that tonight."
"You going to put a trap out for it?" Jake asked. Of course, he was thinking of things like how they did in Scooby Doo.
"Something like that," Nuala said, uncertain.
"Why can't you do it now?" Beckie asked anxiously.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Because there's too many people, cops are all over the place. If they see us do it, they're going to have questions and some of those are hard to answer without coming across as crazy." Drake explained, patiently. "Besides, this one is dangerous. It's killing people, do you want us all to rush in half cocked and end up like the rest with no proof to free your brother?"
"Besides, the thing doesn't come out till night time. So that would be the best time to catch them." Hikari pointed out.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
Beckie bit her lip. "I'm sorry," she said finally. She was so anxious for it to be over with.
"So what do we do until night then?" Jake asked. It was only mid morning now. They had a long time until the sunset.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"Don't apologise." Drake said, he winced thinking he'd been too harsh, but he hadn't meant to be.
"You don't do anything, you all need a hot bath and some sleep. We will wake you if anything happens." Hikari said, because Beckie definitely needed it.

Re: That Creepy One with the Skin
"I don't think I can sleep," Beckie said. She knew that she needed it but it was hard to sleep when your mind wouldn't shut up about all the horrible scenarios you kept making up about what would happen.
"Well they're right," Nuala said. "You both need rest. Go draw yourself a bath. I'll make you some tea to help you sleep," she said and shoo'd Beckie towards her room before going into the kitchen to make the tea.
"I am not taking a bath," Jake said, drawing his knees up to his chest. He was not that girly.
