Re: The Zorua and the Memory Potion

Mireya laughed at the sight of her sister knocking the can of fish onto the floor. She would have done it on accident but Mandisa had done that on purpose. "How silly," she agreed with Taeyang. "Jiyong, we brought everything you need and then some. Where would you like it all?"

Mandisa might have made a stain on his pants out of spite but the sudden sound of others entering the room startled her and she wiggled furiously wanting to be free and find a safe place to hide. As soon as she got her freedom she took off, abandoning the food in favor of shelter, which for now would be under the couch.

"Anywhere it's easiest to brew a antidote," Jiyong said as he dramatically fell off the sofa, but landing so gracefully that his head was on his hand as he looked at Mandisa. "You're a very silly fox, did you know that? That girl is your sister, and the boy is my brother. They won't hurt you either."

"I might, the little bitch bit me." Taeyang said, but he wasn't being serious. "Hello, do you remember me?" He said and hung upside down to look at her.

Jiyong shoved him away, causing him to almost fall over. "You will not."

"I really won't."

Mireya moved things aside on one of the tables while the boys talked to her sister under the couch. She started setting everything up. She was a very organized person. She had to be very careful else she'd break something and that wouldn't do. But she was practiced and this was for her sister so it went normally. No accidents. Not yet at least. "It's ready to be worked on. Do you know what state the herbs need to be in? I wasn't sure."

Mandisa snarled at the sight of Taeyang, the man with the large hands that squeezed. He didn't seem seriously about hurting her though so she relaxed when his face was gone from her sight. "No," she said. "I do not remember." She sniffed the air. Herbs. She could smell them. "What is that?"

"I do not." Jiyong said, he reached under the sofa and pulled Mandisa out. He only placed her on his chest though. He fussed her, but he didn't hold her there. "The order you need to mix them is the order I wrote them down though, Taeyang, go help her please."

"Yes, Sir." Tae said playfully and went over to Mireya. "You do remember me, don't lie little fox." He said though as he walked away. Because he felt like it. "It's an antidote to fix you, obviously. That's our job. To look after you, which is hard when you keep chewing me as though I'm food."

"I do not like your grabbing hands," Mandisa replied to Taeyang and stayed against Jiyong's chest. He was nice and he smelled nice. Mostly he smelled like fish thanks to her. So she would stay there with him. "You're going to douse me in liquid again?" She didn't like that.

"Only because we must," Mireya said cheerfully, trying to stay chipper through it all and view it humorously rather than anything else. But she had to make a face at Mandi's words. It was her sister so her thoughts went somewhere inappropriate. Gosh.

"I grabbed you because you ran, silly." Taeyang said, rolling his eyes. It wasn't like he'd hurt her. "Jiyong grabs you and you let him." He pointed out as well. He huffed and everything. "Do these need to be chopped or anything?"

"Not sure." Jiyong said with a little smug grin, because Mandisa had let him pick her up, move her about and all sorts. Though he hadn't been rough with her. Probably made the difference in fairness. "Well, you're being remarkably behaved. Amazing what a little fish will do for a friendship."

"I don't know," Mireya said and bit her lip. "There's so many ways to prepare herbs. Just...here, write what I do for each one. I think I'll need to make a few and their accompanying antidotes just in case." She handed him a notebook and looked a little stressed. But she got to work. It would take a few minutes but she made three potions following the directions with varying states of the herbs. Three was a good start. The antidotes came next.

"I am easily bought by food, it seems," Mandisa commented. Jiyong was being nicer. And his eyes at least were familiar to her in a way that did not inspire fear, which went a long way with her trusting him.

Jiyong wrote out, he didn't remember them all. Some where crushed, other chopped, others just squished. It was hard. "There are other ways to buy your affection, I've noticed. But I'll wait till you get your memories back before I point those out and remind you of how much trouble you're in."

"This one is distracted by his fox girlfriend." Taeyang said as he snatched back the notepad and went over to Mireya. "I'll help you."

"Thank you," Mireya said. She meant for Tae to have it anyway as Jiyong was busy with her sister. She kept right on working and dictating what he should wrote down as she did. "First three variations of the potion are ready as well as their antidotes," she announced.

"Why am I in trouble of this was done to me?" Mandisa asked. She didn't think that was fair. Sure she'd given them quite the chase but that wasn't on her. She was doing as her instinct had dictated.

"Nice once. Let's throw the first, they won't affect Ji, he's a dragon. No magic works." Taeyang said and then threw the potion at them both to see what happened.

"You'll understand when you remember." Jiyong laughed, but he jumped when the potion landed and leaked. All over his designer clothes. "Prick."

"Bitch."

"Jerk."

"You two are definitely brothers," Mireya commented after watching all of thar. She moved a little over from the table to see how her sister was doing.

The potion had failed. Mandisa didn't remember a thing. But there were side effects. The zorua in Jiyong's arms changed. It became a misdreavious, a ghostly creature that floated up out of his arms and just above him.

And then it let out an unearthly shriek. Mireya dropped to her knees and covered her ears. With the windows open, any person within reach of the sound would have done the same, followed by fleeing once they were able.

"Ah, no." Jiyong said slapping his hands over his ears at the same time his brother did. {Get the reversal potion, you idiot!} he screamed internally.

{I'll let my ears bleed for you, shall I?} Taeyang yelled back, and then grabbed the other vial, dashed over to Mandisa and threw it all over her ectoplasm self.

Mandisa immediately returned to the form of the zorua. She also immediately dropped out of the air and hit the floor, bouncing up once and scampering under the couch again to escape any more of the nasty potion being dropped on her. She was clearly not for it.

Mireya sighed in relief and hesitantly dropped her hands from her ears. She couldn't hear a thing for the ringing sound in them and she felt a bit disoriented.

"I'm sorry, little fox." Jiyong said, looking under the sofa at her. "I know it's unpleasant but don't you want to remember who you are?"

Taeyang shook his head. Lordy. "You okay, little princess?" He said and rubbed Mireya's back softly.

Mandisa whined. Her fur was wet from the potions. She shook it off and tried to clean the stuff off of her fur. But there was no point. Within a few moments it had vanished as magic things tended to do at times. "I do but I do not like that," she whined at him. Reluctantly she came out from under the couch but she kept her tiny body close and small.

"What?" Mireya asked as her hearing was not so good. She realized what he'd asked though. "Oh yes, I'm fine. My ears are just ringing but no damage." She'd be able to tell. And she was fine.

"I know, hopefully this one will be better. You can bite me if it isn't." Jiyong said, then they could suffer together. That might help.

"Okay, next?" Tae said to Miri, maybe she'd pick a better one than he had. Gods, that had been awful.

Mireya stood up and went over to the table. She picked one of the potions. "I'm so sorry. Without knowing how the herbs are meant to be, the results can be rather unpredictable. Let's give it another go, yes?" She could only hope that this time it would work.

Mandisa whined but nodded her fluffy head and allowed it. She tensed as Mireya walked over to her with the potion and sprinkled it over her fur. Again there was a pause as they both waited to see what happened. But this potion also failed to work. It didn't work in the least. In fact, it poisoned the poor zorua.

It wasn't obvious at first. But it quickly became so. Mandisa wavered as if she was suddenly dizzy and faint. She vomited fish all over the floor and then fell right over onto her side, panting.

"Did you make a cure for this?" Taeyang said be had been sure she'd seen this coming, she'd mentioned it before. "Which is it?"

"Ah, gross." Jiyong said, not that he blamed her. At least she'd missed him. He stroked her softly. "Maybe we should call Lucian."

"No. Not yet." Tae said quickly.

"Oh, oh no," Mireya said and ran forward to the table to get the antidote. She quickly poured it all over her sister, making sure some got in her mouth and touched that little pink tongue of hers.

Mandisa choked on the taste of it but soon her breathing eased and her health returned. This time she did scamper for under the couch again. "No more," she screeched at them from under the couch. "No more hurting," she protested.

Jiyong got her out again and held her close to his chest. "One more, if it doesn't work I will call my brother he will help, okay?"

Taeyang felt pretty guilty in all honesty. He couldn't help it. "I hope this one works, I'm so sorry foxy."

Mandisa prepared herself for the next one and hoped that it worked or she was so done with all of this. Only she wasn't because of course she needed her memories and she couldn't just give up on them.

Mireya was praying as they tried the last potion she'd mixed up. This one had to be the one, right? She waited, biting her lip, to see what would happen.

Again, this one failed. Mandisa turned into a bi-pedal blue canine. A lucario. She stood there and stared at the lot of them. Then she stomped her foot in frustration and anger.

"Right, that's it. I'm calling Lucian," Jiyong said and grabbed up his phone out of frustration and started to dial. Even as Taeyang protested.

"He doesn't like me!"

"Because you play dumb pranks that he doesn't see the funny side of."
"He needs a new sense of humour."

"Stop playing dumb pranks." Jiyong said as he pressed call.

"You'll behave, won't you Taeyang? For my sister?" Mireya asked as she went over to the table and got the last of the antidotes she had made. She poured it over her sister and watched as she changed back into a zorua.

Mandisa bailed immediately. This time she just went to Jiyong because she was trying something else and she wanted to show that she approved of that completely. No more iffy potions. She just couldn't handle it.

The phone went straight to voicemail. If Jiyong wanted Lucian's help, he was going to have to try a little harder. There wasn't even an option to leave him a message. Everything was turned right off.

"Of course, I hadn't plan on being a prankster today." Taeyang said, he was being honest about it. But he just figured Lucian would be.... Well Lucian.

"Well Fuck." Taeyang said and lifted up Mandisa. He sighed and everything, before writing a quick note for Lucian and sending it off in a burst of flames. Hopefully that would get through.

The message was immediately rejected as if it was being blocked. Lucian was not allowing direct communication to his person at the time.

Mireya looked at Jiyong eagerly but he gave no explanation. "Is something the matter?" Contacting him didn't seem to be working. She was nervous. She wanted to hug her sister but she wasn't about to take her from Jiyong. She didn't think it would work well.
