Will You Know Me Then?

The loud sound of a motorbike engine roared through the parking lot in Unity Prep. Many heads turned, as it wasn't often a motorbike of such loudness appeared around them. The tires squeaked and squealed as the guy riding manoeuvred through parked cars rather than use the actual roads provided. He pulled up at the front of the steps at the school, stopping just short of the curb. He revved the engine loudly a few times, before turning off the engine. It was mostly to get his sisters attention.

Hikari rolled her eyes at her brothers dramatic entrance. She turned to Mireya, who had been walking out of the school with her. "Oh my gosh, so sorry. My brother is a bit of a rebel." She said because you know, surely the sweet and shy girl was not used to such displays from people. Or maybe she was. "Do you want to come meet him?" She asked then.

Drake pulled off his helmet, letting his hair flow in the breeze. Like it was a movie, he was all gloriously attractive to the ladies around him. Because he had a motorbike, nice hair and all of that bullshit and waffle that girls go for. He rested it in his lap and looked up towards his sister and her friends. "Hikari! Move it. ándale, ándale." He said clapping his hands together.

Mireya really didn't look the type to be interested in the bad boys. She was the picture perfect vision of lovely innocence and charm. The sun favored her even on cloudy days. Flowers bloomed and pointed in her direction as she passed. Birds sang lovely songs. She was the perfect little princess.

But despite all that, she wasn't put off at all by Drake's display of serious rebel attitude and appearance. "I would love to meet your family, Hikari!" she said with sincerity.

"Come on then," Hikari laughed, she was glad that Mireya wasn't put off. A lot of people had been. She put her bag on her back and shoved her hands into her leather jacket, before holding her arm out for Miri to take.

Drake whistled impatiently, but looked seriously sexy just chilling on his motorbike.

Mireya linked arms with Hikari and descended the stairs to reach Hikari's impatiently waiting brother. She may have been charm incarnate but even Mireya was flawed. Her major flaw came in that her body sometimes just didn't feel like cooperating. In other words, she was a klutz. So when a flower suicided all over the stairs to make a pretty path for Mireya to walk down, she slipped on the petals. Even as a klutz she managed grace but that didn't manage much when she crashed into the boy below.

Drake made an ooft noise as Mireya crashed into him and sent them both to the concrete floor below, but he made sure that he dealt with the impact and not her. Too much of a gentleman. "That's a cool ice breaker, does it work for you often?" He asked while laughing.

Hikari just sort of mm wasn't surprised. It was Mireya after all. "Mireya, this is Drake. Drake this is Mireya."

"I know," Drake said with one of his gorgeous lopsided smiles.

"It does, actually," Mireya said with the most charming of smiles. She was a legit princess, with a guy always around to catch her somehow whenever she fell. Which, to be fair, was pretty often. Guys tended to loiter below her at school just in case they got the chance to be the one to catch her.

"Wait, how do you know?" she asked, not really all that bothered about being on the ground with him. Her pale pink and white dress had magically remained intact.

Drake pushed himself up and helped Mireya up as he did. "Because you're the princess of fairies. I have dreamed of you," he said then but quietly so that only the two girls could hear.

"That's probably a line. Don't fall for it." Hikari laughed as she brushed off Mireya's dress softly, just in case her brother wanted to do it instead. Perv.

"It is a line. But not on you, just truth." Drake said with a smile for Mireya.

"You're surprisingly charming for a rebel," Mireya said, actually quite taken with Drake even if it was just a line. She heard sincerity in his words. Truth. Fae did not lie, per se, but they did know when they were being lied to. He was not lying.

"Oh, yeah? Tell that to the string of girls he has left behind that bitch me out on social media, because he never called." Hikari said, rolling her eyes.

"I have no come back for that," Drake said and rubbed the back of his head with a little 'heh' sound. "I mean, if I were to get your number, it's not as though I could ever avoid you, as my sisters friend. Right?"

"I'm making a rule. You can only sleep with her if you plan to marry her. I like Mireya. Don't chase this one off." Hikari said grumpiness.

"I won't." Drake promised.

"Oh, Drake," Mireya said. "She is not painting a pretty picture of you." Not even a little bit. "Don't you worry, Hikari. I'm saving myself for someone special. And no pretty face is going to trick me."

"She's my little sister, she's not supposed too I guess." Drake laughed, but he wasn't all that bothered. Because he had a past and it was a thing. But that didn't define him.

Hikari smiled, "good. Me too." She said then, so that Mireya didn't feel like Hikari would tease her for it later. "So we can be good together."

"Oh good," Mireya said to Hikari, pleased that they could be good young ladies together. Although she knew that Hikari had a boy in her life that she rather liked. He didn't seem to be there with her just yet though. Mireya was going to have to help Hikari work on that, she decided.

She turned her attention back to Drake. "Well, as nice as it is to meet you, rebel brother of HIkari's, I am terribly sorry about knocking you over."

"You can call me Drake, everyone else does." he smiled at her and then handed his sister her own helmet. "It was a trip meeting you."

"So punny." Hikari said rolling her eyes, but she hugged Mireya then. "he's going to ask you out, I've seen that look before."

Mireya laughed and hugged Hikari back. "Is he? Should I say yes?" She felt like she ought to, at least just this once, as she had knocked him over. Besides, he was rather charming for a rebel boy. That wasn't her type in the least but she was quite willing to ignore that for Drake.

"I mean if you want, I know you're strong and will keep him away from the goods." Hikari laughed, but then she squished Mireya tight before letting go.

"I can hear you," Drake laughed, they weren't even whispering. It was rather amusing. "Can I get your number, or should I just ask my sister?"

Mireya could have been a brat and told him to ask his sister. But she wasn't really a brat all that often. So she decided that would go easy on him for the now. "Give me your phone," she requested. "I'll put my number in."

Drake looked like he was a bit hesitant to give her his phone. Just because he didn't clear out contacts religiously, which meant he had girls in there. They were literally named as 'busty waitress' or 'red head from bar' and things like that. "Don't judge me from my phone, Mireya." He said then and finally handed it over.

Mireya took the phone with a smile. "Your sister already warned me, Drake. Plus I have a brother," she added as she added her number to his phone. "Although...he's not this slutty..."

"I'm not slutty. I am gifted and it's only fair to share that with the world before I settle down and dedicate my life to my soul mate." Drake said and ignored the scoff from his sister. "Shhh, Hikari. Nuala didn't disagree."

"im going to pretend you didn't say that." Hikari with a whistle, before texting Nuala and telling on her brother. Gross. She didn't need to know.

"Oh I see," Mireya said, totally agreeing with Hikari but finding Drake kind of funny at the same time. His phone went off in her hand. "Haha, Nuala agrees with your sister. You're gross."

"Yes but she still likes me anyway," Drake said then with a shrug. He wasn't bothered. "Is your number in there? Did you save it as fairy princess?"

Hikari rolled her eyes. "Mireya, will you have dinner with Drake later?" She said because it was just too much watching them sort of flirt.

"I did and I will," Mireya said. She was going to spare Hikari. They were friends. This flirting had to be awkward for her. She handed Drake the phone back.

"Nice I'll pick you up at 6.30." Drake said and then smiled, because his sister made a really awesome wing man. Like seriously.

Hikari climbed on drakes bike and laughed. "See you tomorrow, Miri." She said, glad that was over with. She had her own boy to try and win over.

"Bye," Mireya waved at them both. She was already planning her outfit, hair and makeup for the date. But she was also planning how to help Hikari with her own boy. Oh so much to do.

Drake and Hikari rode off. But of course when they got back Hikari gave him a lot of shit. Especially as she had to go school with Mireya and they all had the same friends she was clearly not for any of it. Any of it.

Drake listened and took it all in, but he didn't say anything. Even as he got ready to take Mireya out. He was in front of a mirror and his sister was still blabbering at him.

He turned and put her hands on her shoulders. "You know how future me came and told you about Cam? That he was the one?"

" Yeah, I remember." Hikari said, she'd finally told Drake a few months back. But God damn.

"Well he came to me too. He told me that the princess of fairies, Mireya was my one." Drake said and smiled at her. "I'm not going to fuck this up."

"Oh, okay..." Hikari said quietly, but then she looked at him. "Well if she's your one, you are not wearing that." She said and went off to find him something better.

"What's wrong with my outfit?" Drake asked, as he touched on his dark t-shirt. Which was worn and well loved.

"What's right with it?!" Hikari yelled back.

Drake now was dressed better according to his sister. He had smart black jeans on and a deep red shirt. She assured him he looked smart casual, and not just smart, but he wasn't sure. His leather jacket covered it for now anyway as he headed up the driveway, leaving his bike on the curb. He quickly knocked on her door.
