The Moment: Top and Mina

"Yes, absolutely. I'm not intending to cause drama. Though I realise I sort of have." top said and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "But I'm not going to rub his nose in it."

"I appreciate that," Minette said. Han could have chosen to flaunt that he had her. And he likely would flaunt it when they were officially together. But for now she liked that he was being respectful so far. "Oh just a little drama, Han? I only have a wedding to cancel..." Oh now she had so much to do. She had to cancel everything. Inform all the guests. And the groom of course...

"Well I hadn't countered in that you would move on so incredibly," top pointed out, he hadn't thought she would agree to marry anyone. He hadn't even dated seriously.

"I hadn't really planned on it," Minette admitted. Teddy wasn't even the kind of guy she'd usually go for. Yes, he was stable and reliable but he was plain and rather boring. And what he wanted for her life wasn't really what she wanted for it. "He asked me in front of a bunch of people we knew. I said yes but..." But now she could admit she just hadn't wanted to embarrass either of them. And at the time, why not say yes, when the one she really wanted wasn't even around anymore?

"Why would he ask in front of everyone?" Top said and made a face that said he was very disapproving of that, gross. "Pressuring you into saying yes?"

"I don't know," Minette replied. "I've never been able to read that man. I find him to be very predictable and yet I still do not know what goes on in his head." It had never bothered her and yet perhaps it should have.

"I see." Top said, but he didn't really want to go into it beyond that. He'd almost taken her from him. Not interested in that.

Minette was quiet then. There was so much to say but it was not the right time for any of it now. "This was not a chance meeting, was it?" she asked. He'd done all of this on purpose to give himself one last chance to have her back with him. And he'd succeeded. "I suppose the next time I will see you will be at Bae's party..."

"It wasn't." top laughed, because he was so not going to lie. It was true. "If you are busy between now and then, then yes. That's when I will see you next."

"All of the rest of my plans for the day have been changed now," Minette said. "I was meant to go to my last fitting..." But she couldn't now. "I guess I must go speak with him now instead."

"Well," Top said and slid his card into her purse. "If you free up time and want some company, I have karaoke with the boys tonight, I can't drop out if you call, unfortunately. As I have to release our new single. Will you be watching?"

"I wouldn't miss a chance to see my little brothers singing," Minette answered, watching him put his card in her purse. "Nor you..." She had been following his career. She loved to watch him succeeding in life just as he'd always wanted to. Following his dreams.

"Don't think me egotistical, but same. It's very satisfying in my work, knowing everyone told me I was too ugly." Top said and his smirk was pretty smug. "Text me." He said and kissed her cheek. "Tell me what you think of my song later."

"I will," Minette promised, her heart fluttering in her chest at him just kissing her cheek. As if she needed another sign. She looked down at her phone and set an alarm for the time they would be doing karaoke so she was sure not to miss it.

"I'm glad." Top said and now his smile was as genuine as it was adorable. "I look forward to it. I have picked very special songs tonight."
