A Meeting of Light and Dark

Some days had passed since Nel had first brought the alarming information about their headmaster to the attention of the Light students at UP. Time had been needed to coordinate and arrange what was to be a very secret meeting to take scheme taking him down and out of power before he hurt anyone else.

The place for the meeting was Taeyang and Jiyong's house. As gods, their place was the safest, for not even the Headmaster would go there nor send his spies. A dragon of Truth was not a thing to messed with at all.

Sirius was nervous, of course, to have so many people over at his home for anything other than partying and fun. But when they arrived he opened the door to let them in.

Mireya, Mandisa, and Eden arrived first. Although Eden could not do much when it came to dark creatures, he could at least sit in and offer an opinion if needed.

Braxton and Syncere were arriving together. Polar opposites in both looks and personality, the two fairy Masters were not often seen together in public. But desperate times meant that they could well come together for what was being planned would affect both of their kinds.

Not even Bryna would be left out of this meeting, although it had taken cleverness on her part to get the permission to leave the house for anything that wasn't an after school activity. In this case, she had told her 'father' that she was meeting with Nel for some dark and dirty scheming against Mireya for the upcoming dance. He'd thankfully bought her little lie and she waited eagerly outside their home for Nel to pick her up.

Wolf, Drake, Haru, Hikari, Cam had all arrived together. They all politely said hello.

"Guys, this isn't a funeral," Jiyong said, because truthfully the sombre mood was depressing him. "We have serious business to attend too, but let's be real. We can still have a good time. I have beers, for the grown ups, alcoholic free beers for the teens. Virgin cocktails for the girls too. There are snacks, chips, dips and pizza is inbound. If we are doing this, let's make Bryna feel safe, happy and not completely fucking depressed, okay??"

Hikari giggled, "Ah, sometimes you're as bad as Tae." She said and pat Jiyong on the chest as she went through to the living room. "Nuala here yet?"

"No," Tae answered from the sofa and pat the space next to him. Which Hikari took easily and the hug.

Though, Syn had arrived earlier. He was on his way over with Nuala. "You realise I need to tease Drake. He's always so intent that I hate him. Sure I don't like him a whole lot, for obvious reasons. But he saved my sister. He's just... Asking for it."

Nel pulled up in Wolf's car, it was a big muscle car. Old thing. But it looked brand new. It was chill. She beeped the horn and stuck her head out of the window. "C'mon girlie! Much to do, not enough time to do it!"

"I guess if there's every a way to accomplish that it's with virgin drinks and pizza," Mireya said brightly. She knew that this meeting was likely going to go into some pretty dark places once the truth of what was going on and why came out. But it was her place to make sure everyone stayed calmed and upbeat. She could so easily do that if they entered with the right mindset.

"It's kind of hard to say let's do this for Byrna's happiness," Sirius admitted from where he was sitting next to Vale.

"Oh agreed," Vale said. "My mind knows that she's being manipulated and all but there's this part of me that still can't quite grasp the concept that she's a victim here."

"Mostly because she's been such a bitch," Sirius said.

"I know it's difficult to imagine her as a damsel," Mireya said. "But you boys are just going to have to try even if you're not feeling it. Because she is and she needs our help."

"I had imagined that you were going to tease him," Nuala said. She looked every part the royal princess elite going on a casual outing with her fiance. As much as this was all very serious, she didn't want to appear like she was taking it too seriously. A lot of the people meeting today were pretty high in the celebrity gossip columns. It just wouldn't do for it to be brought to anyone's attention what all was really going on. "Just try and play a bit nice. I don't mind a little teasing but you are here for business," she reminded him.

Braxton, for his part, looked every bit how you'd imagine a Dark Fae Master would. There was nothing casual or soft about him. He was both intimidating as the Darkness and as tempting and charming as the Fae. But he was also quiet, more of a listener than a talker.

"Took you long enough," Bryna said and jumped up from the step where she'd been sitting. She thought that she could feel the eyes of her 'father' on her back as she leaped into the car and waited for Nel to drive off. She wasn't sure he was really watching her though. She had a pretty healthy amount of paranoia when it came to him.

"Agreed." Jiyong said as he sat down. He helped himself to a beer too. Because he could.

"But to be honest, she is also good looking. I mean maybe not to Vale, who is like only into foxes? Fiends? Fluffy things. I don't know. But yeah, I think she's hot. So I can do it. I'll imagine she's a damsel and I'm a Knight." Glitch teased, just because he could.

"Hikari has nothing good to say about her. Not a damn thing." Drake said as he sat down and pulled Mireya into his lap.

"Because there was nothing good to say, but I actually feel bad for her now okay?" Hikari said from under Tae's arm.

"Well, I didn't want him to think I was too eager." Nel said, she beeped the horn, just to be that way and made the wheels squeal and slide as she pulled away. "I'm not sorry, I want him to think I'm a bad girl. Hence why I have Wolf's car."

"Oh Glitch," Mireya said with a laugh. "I guess if that's what gets you motivated to help her then I will take it. Although, I have to tell you, she is wearing a glamour. How she looks in school isn't really how she looks."

"Yeah, but she's still a princess so you know she's still gorgeous under that stone cold bitch/mean girl thing she has going on," Sirius said.

"Her looks do not currently inspire me to want to play knight," Vale said. But he also wasn't attracted to humans. And Sirius...was not attracted to girls. "Although, I will give her, she pulls off her look and clothes very well," he added as his way of saying something nice.

"I'm just messing," Bryna said now that she was in the car and they were gone. "In case he was listening, you know? I was getting a little bit anxious though," she admitted. "Forget butterflies, my stomach feels like there's an entire aviary flying around in it."

"I bet she's even hotter as a dark fae. Just saying." Glitch said, but you know he was ghost. He liked all things dark.

"I like pretty fairies better." Drake said, just so that Mireya didn't feel left out.

"I think dark fae and normal fae are absolutely stunning. But so am I as a mermaid," Hikari said, flicking her hair over her shoulder just to be that way.

"I'll be mostly good." Syncere said as they pulled up to the house. He smiled at Nuala. "It's just too easy. Braxton, are you planning on staying for very long?" the doors were opened for them and they got out.

"it's okay, don't worry." Nel said and gave her shoulder a squeeze. It didn't take long to get to the twins house, the town wasn't very large. She got out of the car and pulled Bryna with her. She noticed the dark man coming out of the car and her vagina spoke for her. "Holy shit, he's sexy as fuck. Bryna, share your master. Oh God. Please." She was not quiet about that, so likely Braxton heard. She didn't care at the moment. Give her a second and she'd hide. Behind Wolf.

Mireya laughed. "I wasn't just talking about our fae forms," she said. "Though I'm sure hers is stunning in a dark and seductive way." Very different from her light and sweet form, that was more enchanting than seductive. "Do you have a little crush, Glitch?" she teased.

"Can't we just agree that everyone in their forms all look amazing?" Sirius asked. He didn't know he was a Master yet. He hadn't been unlocked. But he was a Prism trainer.

"That depends entirely on how what the princess will need after this is all over," Braxton said. "I am a very busy man so I do not think I will be staying long." He was one of the biggest rock stars in the kingdoms. Beyond that, he was incredibly active in the dark world. And as an older man, he had all his shit together and his career settled so he kept quite busy.

"I'm sorry, what?" Bryna asked, so thrown off by Nel's reaction to seeing a sexy guy that she couldn't even reply. She looked over to where Nel was and saw Braxton. "Oh. Oh my..." He was incredibly gorgeous in a way that was more than a little appealing. "Yeah, so not sharing," she said quickly. Not happening.

Braxton, of course, had heard the girls. He looked over at them, semi curious what the Princesses of Darkness and Dark Fae were like. But he did not act as if he'd heard their little outburst.

"What's the matter with you?" Taeyang asked then, he wasn't really sure what to think of Sirius' little outburst there.

But it made everyone else shut up. Except Haru. "I think everyone is beautiful." she said quietly.

"Ah, you have fangirls. No surprise there." Syncere said with a chuckle, but he took Nuala's arm then and lead her up to the house. It was no palace, but he loved that about it. "Oh this is so quaint! I love it. It's.... So... So... Normal."

Nel saw him look over. Even if he hadn't acted like he heard it, she still suddenly grew incredibly cold and she went stiff. She did not like to be looked at so directly by such a man. "Okay." She said to Bryna then, just like that. "I'm going in. You can introduce yourself."

Sirius didn't like that everyone was staring at him. He wasn't sure what to make of it. Or why he'd even had a little outburst. "Puberty," he said, which was his bullshit answer for when he wanted to be silly and have them leave him alone. He got up quickly and grabbed a soda.

Mireya had gone quiet too. But Sirius was clearly not inclined to play along. So she moved on. "Agreed, Haru. Oh but I think the others are arriving." Thank goodness! That would break up some of the tension. Or not. She wasn't sure how it was going to go.

Nuala was happy to walk with Syncere up to the house. "Oh it is," she said. "How unexpected. By their temples I thought they would live somewhere a little more...grand and flashy. But this is just so normal. They really are trying to fit in smoothly."

"You're just going to leave me?" Bryna hissed at Nel, feeling a bit of panic at the idea of being left on her own with Braxton. He was just calmly standing there, watching them.

Taeyang frowned, but he left it alone. He'd corner Sirius later and ask him about it. When all his friends werent there.

"You hit that and been past it for at least two years, Sirius!" Drake said, just to be that way. "don't tease my dragons, it's mean."

Hikari got up so fast and was over to the door and ripping it open." Nuala!" she said and tackled her for a hug. "Hi Syn!"

"Hello, lovely." Syn said and smiled at her. She was so cute.

"He's your master and you don't want to share." Nel pointed out, she didn't want to play nice if Bryna couldn't. "Enjoy him, won't you?" She said and took a very wide berth around him.

"I'm not teasing anyone!" Sirius protested. He just sat back down with his soda feeling a little meh. But he didn't show it. He never really did. Just sometimes it escaped like just then and then everyone stared. He hated that. He liked being the center of attention but not for awkwardness.

"Hikari!" Nuala exclaimed and gave her unofficial little sister a big hug. "So good to see you! I mean, terrible reasons, but what else is new?" she asked with a little laugh. It always seemed that Hikari and Drake were in the thick of some awfulness as Hunters.

Braxton just watched Nel cooly as she edged around him. And then he went over to Bryna, who didn't look nearly as nervous as she was feeling. The girl was putting on a brave face but he didn't buy it. "Princess," he said and took her hand, kissing it lightly on the back while bowing over it.

"Master," Bryna said, her voice near catching in her throat. He didn't have the same intoxicating affect on her as he had on others but only because she was the same as him.

"Your glamour does not suit you," Braxton commented as he straightened.

Byrna wasn't sure if that was an insult or not. She didn't personally like it either though. "It was not of my choosing."

"For the moment, in this place, you are safe and you are free," Braxton said. With a wave of his hand, he shattered her glamour and replaced it with how she should actually look. "Now are you ready?"

No, is what Bryna wanted to answer. Going in there was terrifying. She'd tormented those people. They might be helping her now but she didn't feel very brave. "Yes," is what she answered. "For my mother."

"Okay, okay." Taeyang said and pat Sirius on the shoulder. Being a teenager was hard, you had to figure out sexuality and deal with too many hormones.

Hikari squished her. "always, I can't say my life is dull, anyway. Come meet everyone." she said and tugged her instead. "Especially cam." she said quietly then.

Nel didn't notice any of that, she went and sat directly in Wolf's lap and his arms went around her waist.

"you okay, princess?" He asked.

"No. Maybe. I don't know."

"who do I need to hurt."

"no one."

Sirius just gave Taeyang a smile. Being a teenager sucked. There was just so much he was feeling all the time and sometimes it just wasn't easy to get control of it. But this wasn't about him right now. It was about the girl they all pretty much hated but had to save anyway because it was the right thing to do.

Nuala smiled. "I would love to meet everyone," she said. Especially Cam, she implied. But she didn't say that. She walked over with Hikari for introductions.

Mireya sat up a little straighter then to see just what sort of person Drake's ex was. She had heard of the Princess of the Skies, who was a born Royal and hence went to Royal Prep. But she'd never actually seen what she looked like. The reveal made her feel a little jealous, actually. Nuala looked the very part of an elegant, delicate and royal woman. But she quickly dismissed those feelings. Nuala wasn't with Drake anymore. And it was Mireya, not Nuala, who was Drake's destined. It didn't matter what the girl was like, really.

Mandisa, also curious, was also watching Nel. "What happened?" she asked quietly. "Are we hurting Bryna now instead of helping her?" She didn't think that was it. But Braxton hadn't come in yet. And she knew what Braxton looked like. He was everywhere in the music world.

"Nuala, this is Wolf, Nel, Mireya, Mandisa, Haru, Sirius, Vale, Taeyang, Jiyong, Gaius, Nox, Dusk and Grim. The girl outside is Bryna." Hikari said, and smiled. "Oh and this is Cam." She said, and pointed at him.

Drake rolled his eyes at the way his sister had said Cam's name. Like everyone knew she had a thing for him. Except Cameron. Derp. "Hey Nuala," he said with a smile. And then nodded his head at Syn.

"Everyone, this is Nuala and her fiance Syncere. She is the princess of the skies and he is the master of fairies." Hikari tacked on.

All my people said Hi. And Syncere nodded at Drake. But took Mireya's hand and kissed it. "it's a pleasure to finally meet you, my princess."

Drake growled.

"No, seriously. It's not that." Nel said quietly to Wolf and Mandisa. "I just.. You know. Had a moment of finding someone attractive but then he looked at me and I freaked out." she sounded so ashamed.

"it's okay," Wolf said and rubbed her arm to soothe her. "he won't hurt you, whoever he is. I promise."

"i know." Nel said and looked at her lap.

"It's so lovely to meet all of you," Nuala said with the sweetest of smiles. There were just so many of them that she couldn't say hi individually. But she was curious about each and every one of them. There was time to get to know them all later, even if it was just a little bit. She wasn't hear to make friends. Not this time.

Nuala paid special attention to Cam when he was pointed out. But she was subtle with it so he didn't notice. He only waved at the two new people. Inside Nuala was super excited. Cameron was very handsome. She could totally see how Hikari would be into him. Now just to arrange it that he noticed.

Everyone said hello to Nuala and Syncere in their own fashion. Mireya was not surprised by Syncere's charming greeting. "I can say the same for you, Syncere." She chose not to call him Master. Drake's growling was vibrating her body and she tried not to giggle. Oh but he was such a jealous one.

"He certainly looks like he could though," Mandisa said, looking at the door now where Braxton had entered while escorting Bryna.

Vale and Sirius had their heads together while they quietly discussed the two looks of the new master and princess that had just come in before. "Royals get all the best designers," Vale said wistfully.

"I could make clothes like that for days and not get tired," Sirius agreed. Rich, elegant and charming? Oh yes. He'd love to design that level of clothing like Nuala and Syncere wore daily. But both of them went quiet when Braxton and Bryna entered.

At first, they didn't recognize her. The dark hair, pale skin, dark, dramatic eyes and pale red lips. Add to that the clothing, which was less mean girl of Unity Prep and Dark Fae Princess. She looked very little like their school tormentor and every part the other half, the very opposite, of Mireya. Both boys just stared. Then Vale elbowed Sirius. He lived here. He had to say something since no one else had noticed yet.

"Uh, hey, Bryna. Welcome to my home..." Oh Sirius felt awkward.

"Oh this is Braxton," Taeyang said then, for anyone who didn't know. "long time no see in a non singing fashion, friend."

Hikari waved at them both but then gave Nuala a look of holy shit on a stick, that vampire boi was too hot for words.

Nel stiffened in Wolf's lap. Like the idea of him in the same room terrified her. She even started to shake slightly.

But Wolf spoke then, "Braxton." He said and stood up, he was larger and wider than him, and he put Nel down beside him. "My name is Wolf, Master of darkness and this is Nel, princess of darkness. It's awesome to meet a counterpart of ours." he held out a hand.

Nel, did not even look at Braxton now. But she clung to Wolf's arm.

Braxton inclined his head at the dark twin. "It is good to see you again," he said politely. Their music styles were quite different but that didn't mean they didn't run in the same circles at times. They had met and it had always been, well, interesting.

But now he focused on Wolf, noticing how the man was acting. He was a very observant man. He saw how he squared off to appear larger than Braxton, not a hard feat. Braxton was very tall and muscular but he was by no means as built as a hunter nor did he have reason to be. Still, he'd not given Wolf a reason to appear that way. But the girl seemed terrified. He recalled how she'd gone out of her way to avoid him as she fled into the house.

"It is good to finally meet you," he said, calmly taking Wolf's hand with no show of aggression or confusion. Wolf was being protective of his princess. He had no reason to be for Braxton would not mess with her. But he would show that he had no ill intent all the same.

Nuala gave Hikari the same look.

Mireya laughed quietly. She had sort of known the girls would react to Braxton in such a way. She'd not officially met him but she knew him from his music and the like. Really though, it was Bryna who had her attention more, for she looked nothing like herself. She nudged Glitch subtly and then got up to join Sirius. "Bryna, you look amazing."

"Thanks..." the girl replied.

"I realize this is probably pretty awkward for you but I'm glad you were able to come. I promise we're all going to do everything we can to help out you and your mother. Whatever you need, we're on it," Mireya said in a friendly fashion.

litch moved from his seat then, but in his own way of glitching. "Beautiful princess, you may take my seat. Go be comfortable." He said, backing up what Mireya had said.

Nel noticed that everyone was talking about Bryna, as if her looks had changed. So she took a deep breath and looked up. "Nice to meet you," she said levelly to Braxton. "We really appreciate you coming to help Bryna." her eyes immediately moved over to her. "Damn, girl. This looks suits you so much better. Come on, do you want a drink?"

"Pizza is here," Jiyong said and went to answer the door before it had even rung to announce itself.

When Nel's attention was elsewhere Wolf's smile was so friendly and welcoming. "Thank you." he said to Braxton. Though Nel would assume he was confirming her words, but in fact he was thanking him for not being offended. "Special cases our princesses, it's going to be great working with you to keep them safe."

Bryna felt a little overwhelmed by them being so nice to her. At least they were reacting positively to Braxton having shattered her glamour and putting her true look out there.

For Mireya at least, that made it easier to see Bryna as a different person from the school bully. She would have helped her all the same but it was nice to visibly see a change in the person who apparently wasn't who they'd all thought.

"Thank you," Bryna managed to get out, a little flustered. She'd said it to Glitch at first but then to Mireya and nel too. "A drink would be fine." But then she looked at them.

"Oh they're non alcoholic. The twins are cool but not that cool," Mireya said with a laugh.

Braxton knew what the thank you actually meant. It was quite visible from how Wolf changed when Nel's attention was no longer on him. "Yes, I think it will be." The dark wasn't known for being warm of fuzzy but even dark creatures would unite to care for and protect their own.

"Sorry, not sorry." Taeyang said, they were sometimes. But not today. "But pizza though, come on."

Jiyong laughed as he carried at least seven boxes of pizza. "I bought many different kinds. If any of you are ridiculously vegan, sorry I'm a dragon, there's one of those too. It's gross."

Nel laughed then, because Jiyong was always funny to her. "I'll sit with you," she said then to Bryna as she wiggled around the sofa to sit where Glitch had been and she pulled Bryna with her. She didn't let go of her hand either.

Wolf was the weirdest master of dark, because he was often warm and fluffy. But to people he didn't know? He wasn't and he had darkness that ran deep into his soul. "We will have to exchange numbers. When this is over, I've decided to offer Bryna and her mother a room with me. Well, one each of course. I'm sure you'd like updates."

Bryna was relieved for the comfort that Nel's hand provided. The girl was new as far as this group was concerned. She hadn't had any bad experiences with Bryna yet either. Add to that their connection through the dark and Bryna actually felt safe with her. "Thank you," she said. "Again. I know it can't be very easy for you all to be so nice to me."

"No," Sirius agreed.

"Not really," Vale echoed him. "But it helps knowing that you're not really as...uh, mean, as you've been acting."

"But it does beg the question as to why," Mireya said, taking over for the boys. "Don't get me wrong at all, we are all for helping you and your mother, but it might help us to know why the Headmaster has you acting in such a hostile way towards everyone. What is he trying to achieve with that?"

Bryna felt uncomfortable. It was a very awkward thing to say. "Honestly?" she asked. "He feels threatened. For the first time in an age, all the Masters and Princesses of the light elements are growing up together, forming friendships and taking an active part in the world. He doesn't like that and he wants it to end before it sets a precedent for future generations. For my part, I am to sow discord. Tear you down, make doubts in the minds of the students and later those outside how qualified or good you really are. Chip away at your reputations and happiness."

Braxton listened to both Wolf and Bryna speak. He let the girl talk. It was informative to know. But he also thought about what Wolf was saying. "I would take them in myself but your living situation is likely more normal and stable than my own. I will be in touch though, yes."

"I mean... That makes sense to me. If I was going to insert myself into a school and watch teenagers group together, powerful ones, I'd probably enroll another teenager to fuck it up..." Glitch said, but then he looked at Bryna. "Look, you were a bitch. I'm not going to edge around that like Vale. We are all thinking it, but I'm the only one brave enough to say it. You've got a lot to apologise for, but here in this space, you can be you. Actually you, okay? We won't judge you. Unless you're awful, but I don't think you are. We are going to help you, regardless of the past."

Nel smiled, there was a reason she liked this group. Apparently they were all very forgiving. "So," she said then, taking the reigns of the conversation as she'd started this ball rolling. "We were thinking that it'd be best to have Haru and Sirius pull a distraction in the lunch hall, while Glitch, Mandisa, myself and Wolf go and get your mum. Wolf has had someone tailing him, so we know where she is."

Wolf puffed his chest out, super proud. "Oh, you are welcome at ours any time too." he said to Braxton quietly. "but, be prepared for Nel to hide from you. She will get there though."

"When we have gotten her, Wolf and Braxton will deal with the headmaster." Nel continued, "What happens from there, I'm going to assume is up to them and you, Bryna. It's your life he's messed up... You yet a say. But if any of you 30 something folks disagree with the plan that the teens and I have put across say so."

Jiyong and Taeyang put their heads together. They didn't speak out loud, but they were communicating. Then, finally, they nodded. "That our teens have helped with this plan, pleases us greatly."

"I get a say in what happens to him?" Bryna asked. She knew what she wanted but it was also out of anger and spite that the desire came. She didn't actually want to voice it out loud.

"Should we talk about what we're going to do with him?" Mireya asked, seeing how hesitant Bryna was to put forth her opinion. "Obviously his ruse needs to be exposed and he'll have to be removed as Headmaster. But stealing children and causing discord among mortals is a Dark Fairy thing. Shouldn't there be a limit on a punishment for acting according to your nature? I mean, within reason."

"You say that but..." Bryna took a breath. "It's not just a personal thing for me. The end goal to all of this was your death. I was not willing to have any part in that myself, mother or not, but most of you weren't meant to leave the school alive. Especially not you," she said to Mireya.

Nuala had wanted to ask how Syncere could help, with either getting the mother or taking down the Headmaster, but she went quiet instead.

"You make a fair point, Mireya." Syncere said then, as he looked thoughtful. "While my crown holds no weight in Unova, we are allies. I can make sure that whatever happens, is just and doesn't blow back on you guys. Personally, when I am king of Hoenn, I plan to be fair. I think that we should give this headmaster of yours a chance, if he refuses then our only option is death. Though I shall come with you, if I may, Wolf and braxton? I care not to step on toes, but I can restrain him."

Wolf looked at Syncere. The guy was so well spoken, he was a little surprised. But he shouldn't have been. "well, I'm okay with it if Brax is. I might break the guys jaw if you don't restrain him." because he wasn't as kind as Syncere.

Nel approved of the fairy master jumping in like that. "I hadn't thought of that, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to not include you."

"Ah, princess. Do not worry, I was so quiet over here I'm sure you didn't even notice." Syncere said, sincerely. He smiled at her and when Nel looked uncomfortable he looked back at Braxton. "Well if that's all okay, I'll go and make calls with the king and Queens children, Darling and Charming, yes I know quaint, and make all the arrangements so it's decreed that we've acted within the law."

Mireya was so pleased with how the Fairy Master was handling things. He was really as lovely as his reputation said he was. And of course a future king would have more pull with the current royalty than any of them. Well, for now. It wasn't yet known that Eden was the future high king.

"I would not mind your assistance," Braxton said. "You are right in that we must keep it within the law of this land, though I myself will be inclined to deal with him in my own way. We cannot have anything come back to hurt the students."
