A Meeting of Light and Dark

"As you are his Master, I will ask that it be allowed that you have the momentary right to deal out lawful decisions. Emergency deputy, so to speak. Is that the term? I do not know. One moment." Syncere said and went outside where it was quiet.

Glitch, Drake and Hikari started to nom pizza. Apparently the idea of death didn't make their appetite shy.

"Okay, so are we going to do this tomorrow then? I think it's best, for Bryna. And her mother that we are swift." Nel said, she looked at Wolf, who was next to Braxton. They seemed so friendly. Which was a plus.

"Probably, providing the call goes okay. Weird for me to stick to the law, must admit." Wolf laughed.

"Same," the twins said with a sigh.

"Haru and I are ready with the trap," Sirius said. "It's been designed, at least. We can work on putting it together later and springing it when you all give the signal." He too wasn't put off eating even if he'd just learned that the head of their school had it out for their group, like quite literally.

"Bryna, is anyone else a target but us?" Mireya asked. "I realize why he wouldn't like me but I'm not his exact enemy. Steel is our shared weakness." Metal hurt fairies, dark or otherwise. That was the weakness they shared.

"The Master of Steel hasn't been confirmed yet," Bryna said. "And the Princess is well protected by the Hunters she blesses and favors," she added. "So he can't really reach him. But he's in it for the long run. They would eventually become targets as the opportunity presented itself."

"Tomorrow would be best," Braxton agreed. "I will see what I can make of his reasoning before I hand him over to the royals. I am not exactly inclined to work with the law but in this case, it is best for the children."

Syncere came back as Braxton said that. "Oh, no. You have been ordained, temporarily, with the power to invoke justice. If that is execution, you are under all rights to do so." he said.

Then looked at the others. "This as of now is headquarters of the unofficial team of law enforcement. We don't have badges, but Charming asked his father and his father is in agreement with us. Law here states that fiend and human man not take a life without just cause. Therefore, if he shows no sign of repentance, we are allowed to do what is needed. None of you will be in trouble for damage to school property as the king has said priority on saving your mother is nearly as high as catching the man at blame. So, basically... We are legit." He said and took some pizza. He'd only ever had gourmet pizza, but he found this to be oddly delicious.

"Really?" Nel asked, a little doubtful. "We've just been given permission to do what we want with this?"

"Ah, no. Only Wolf and Braxton can do as they please with the headmaster. We can what is necessary to catch him." Syncere confirmed.

"I guess I don't get much of a say after all," Bryna commented. But it was still nice to know that the two masters could do whatever needed to handle the dark fae that was tormenting her and her mother.

"I will of course be happy to take your feelings on the matter into account," Braxton told Bryna. He didn't want her put off.

"Thank you," she said. It was nice to know that he would listen should she decide to actually ask for something when it came to him. "What am I to be doing while you're all making a mess of the school and rescuing my mother?" Inside, she felt both excited and scared. Tomorrow she could be free. Her mother would finally be free and with her. Or everything would fall apart and people would die. She felt sort of sick thinking about either option.

"I think it's best you go to my house, Alex is there he will watch you go straight there from your last lesson before lunch, is that when we are doing it?" Wolf questioned, he assumed so as the cafeteria was so busy at that time. It was the perfect time to do it. "Well, yeah. Nel will grab you and Taeyang will bring you there and stay with you. There will be a group text, which will give short updates."

"Wolf does this all the time, you can trust him. We will bring your mum straight to you there." Nel said and gave Bryna's hand a squeeze.

"We can move to your mum instantly as well, well I can and take Mandisa. Because my glitch." Glitch said, it worked differently to Mandi's who could phase thorough things.

"we have this down, you guys all know what you're doing. We just need to make sure all our watches are set to the same time so that when the time comes for Sirius and Haru to do their thing, the rest of us seamlessly and simultaneously do the same. No using your phones. The Internet messes with them. This has to be done right or it can go wrong." Wolf said and seeing as he didn't think anyone other than Drake and Hikari had actual field experience here, he wasn't going to put anything down to chance.

"I have plenty of watches to loan out if anyone needs one," Sirius offered. "They're mostly for complimenting outfits but they'll work for this." Not all teens owned a watch since everyone just used their phones to check the time and set alarms.

"Sounds perfect, Sirius," Mireya said. "Let's make sure everyone has one before they leave here." She was super pleased that everything had gone well. There had been no drama and no outbursts. They knew what they were doing and when.

"Well now the plan is together, let's eat properly. Dig in." Taeyang said for much of the pizza was left untouched.

Wolf was on it and a beer. He gave one to Braxton and to Syncere. But he didn't know how they would take it. It wasn't exactly expensive.

Braxton politely declined the beer but he accepted the pizza. While he was willing to have less than fancy food, he was not as willing to experiment with cheap beer. He didn't have the palate for it. Nor the desire to try it.

Everyone took what they were given and ate it with gusto. Pizza was just one of those things that teens universally loved.

But Bryna didn't feel like she could eat all that much. Her stomach felt like it was in knots. Then again, if she did eat pizza out with Nel, she could likely skip dinner with Daddy dearest. That thought online got her through one slice. "I shouldn't stay long," she said to Nel. "He'll get suspicious."

Syncere found beer to be odd. But he didn't hate it. It wasn't champagne though...

"Fair," Wolf laughed, it wasn't his favourite either. But he didn't want to be rude to the twins. Who were currently eyeing Braxton.

"Well eat with us and then I'll take you home. "Nel said, it was a promise too.

Braxton really didn't care that the twins were eyeing him for not wanting to drink beer. He actually just didn't really drink. And when he did, it was really only a glass of wine. Even that was rare. So no, he did not want to partake in beer even if it hurt their feelings. They were big boy dragons. They'd get over it.

"Okay," Bryna said. Last time, she reminded herself. After tomorrow she wouldn't have to live there anymore. She didn't know where she would live but it wouldn't be there. It would be a place of her own choosing. Or her mother's...

They did get over it. He was apparently boring to them. They weren't very interested in boring people. (xD)

"Do you have somewhere to stay tonight?" Wolf asked Braxton then. His apartment was nice. Very dark looking so Braxton would feel at home. "I have room, if you want it."

"I'm so excited for tomorrow. Can you be chill until lunch? "Nel asked, though she wouldn't be surprised if she couldn't.

"I would prefer that as you're offering," Braxton said. "I should like my presence here to remain quiet and that can be difficult when attending public places." Like hotels.

"Yes," Bryna said after a moment. "I think. I've been playing a part for years now. I can handle one more day. I don't want to but I know that I can do it." She also knew that it was going to be super difficult. For her mother though, she could do it.

"Of course. No problem." Wolf said happily, he was glad that Braxton had accepted the offer. He would have been disappointed. Now they could bond.

"You can text me all night and tomorrow. I don't sleep much anyway." Nel said, so she could keep her calm.

Braxton was thinking the same thing. "So long as your princess will be comfortable with my presence," he added. Nel seemed to have relaxed now but she'd been anything but before.

"Oh you're going to regret giving me permission to do that," Bryna said. "I know I won't be able to sleep tonight." She'd be way too worried about how things were going to go. And how they would fall into place after. Because what happened after? He would get fired and someone else would take his place. Would they punish for her role in all of this? Would she be forced to leave? Would she even want to go back to school at all and have to face the people she'd bullied and the people she lead?

"She won't be, but at the same time she won't get better if I tip toe around her. She won't freak out. She's done that already, she will likely just avoid you a bit. But if you don't mind, I'd like for you to try and talk to her anyway. She needs to know that you aren't her tormentor and you won't hurt her. Shying away from you won't let her know that." Wolf said, he'd been gentle forever. But she needed a nudge.

"Test me and see if I regret it." Nel laughed, because she likely wouldn't sleep either.

"And what would have me discuss with her?" Braxton asked. He was not much of a social person but he could have educated and polite conversations.

"Challenge accepted," Bryna said jokingly. She looked at what remained of her pizza, just a few bites of crust. She couldn't stomach anymore but she was proud that she had even eaten at all.

"Anything. Talk about music. Or cats. She likes cats. Do you like cats?" Wolf asked, they had a couple of cats already.

"Ha," Nel said. She snapped up another slice of pizza and then finished it quickly. She was so hungry. "We can leave now. I'll eat this as we go." she said. "Thanks everyone! I have to take Bryna home now."

"I have nothing against them," Braxton said. "I do not have very many myself. Music will likely be an easier topic for me." Though he did prefer cats to dogs. He admired their independence.

Most everyone said goodbye then, not really too bothered that she was leaving. They'd see her tomorrow for when things went down. Mireya was really the only one with encouraging words of parting.

But Bryna just said a quick thank you for what felt like the millionth time and bailed with Nel. It was easier to breathe once she was outside again. "I know it's happening but it doesn't really feel like it yet..." It just felt too easy somehow.

"Works." Wolf said, he was glad that Braxton was as happy to push his princess as Trent was. It helped. "I need her to be better. She shouldn't be scared of anyone. They should be afraid of her."

"It'll sink in." Nel promised, "maybe not until you have your mum in your arms again. I don't know."

"Oh I agree with that," Braxton said. "Men in general are not all that scary for a woman like her. She will learn. But I am sure you have your own plan for that. I do not mind assisting."

"Probably not until then," Bryna admitted. "It'll be so good to actually see her again. I'm just so worried he's going to catch on to all of this and..." And then she'd lose her mother. For good.

"I don't. Actually. I'm a little lost, I'm trying to let her be herself, get an education though she's older than all her peers. Making her do 3 extra curricular activities," Wolf trailed off. "But it's not enough yet. She needs time. I'm going to give her it with gentle pushes."

"He won't, Bryna. Not if you keep your cool. You can do this. I know you can." Nel said and opened the car door for Bryna. "It's going to be okay. I know this."

"Education isn't really specific to age," Braxton said. "If you're keeping her active and giving her as normal of a routine as you can then you're doing fine. A set plan for mental issues never fully works."

Bryna nodded. "I know. I can do this. And I can maybe avoid him for dinner since I ate with you so that'll help." Just go to her room, work on her school work, and go to bed. She just had to avoid him and he'd think nothing of that, really.

"I didn't think it would, to be fair. Needs to be a little bit of chaos, I guess." Wolf said, because it was the chaos of life that pulled people together mentally.

"That's much better," Nel agreed, she took the long way home. To give Bryna time to breathe and get it together. "you good?"

"Agreed," Braxton said. With the meeting over and the pizza having been eaten, it was only a matter of time before they dispersed. And he was rather fine with that. Braxton was good with going along with things.

"No," Bryna said. "But I will be when this is all over." She looked out the window of the car and just watched the scenery. It was lovely outside. So calm and pretty. She wished she felt as calm inside. "You okay? You seemed to be having a moment in there."

"Nel will be back shortly and I can drive you home," Wolf said, because he was being very mi casa you casa about it.

"It's just gorgeous dark men, I'm attracted to them but terrified at the same time. I'll get over." Nel said with a smile. "Please do text me. If you get nervous. I did mean that."
