That Creepy One with the Skin

The wine sauce was very heavy and rich so he was in a surprise there. She ordered a few other things and said to bring it all in an hour. That should be enough time for a start, she thought.

"Thanks." Drake said when she was done. He was looking around the hotel room though. It was so bright, clean and shiny he was scared to touch anything at all.

As much as Nuala wanted to get right to it, she just stood there instead and watched him looking at the room. "What do you think of it?" She asked. "Want something like this for yourself one day?"

Drake laughed, shaking his head. "I wouldn't know what to do with this sort of place. It's... Too clean and has too much nice stuff. It'd be ruined too fast. It's nice, but I'm scared to touch anything in case I make it dirty. But I thought that about you at first too."

"I don't want you to be afraid to touch me, Drake," Nuala said suggestively. He didn't need to be afraid of the room either. But she thought he'd get over it.

"Oh I'm not any more. You showed me on my own you're already dirty and can't be broken." Drake said just as suggestively as he went over to her and tugged her against him.

Meanwhile, Hikari had arrived at Beckie's house. The flashing lights of the police car gave her instant anxiety. She could see them through the open window and hurried outside to see what was going on, abandoning the dishes she'd been cleaning up from dinner.

"Sorry, sorry. Don't panic." Hikari winced as she climbed out of the police car. "It's just me. I didn't know where else to go. I hope that's okay."

"What do you mean? Why aren't you with your brother and uncle?" Beckley asked as she ran out to Hikari. In the light of the police car sirens she could see the marks on Hikari's skin. "What happened to you?"

"The fiend attacked me, I don't know where Bobby or Drake is. I tried calling, but their phones are off or on silent." Hikari said, she wiped at her nose and licked her lips. The irony taste of her blood made her cringe. "Can I clean up in your bathroom? Is Jake here?"

"Of course you can. Come on inside. You can stay here tonight if we don't get ahold of him. I'll try Nuala," Beckley said and ushered the girl inside. " Jake has already gone up to bed but he likely isn't asleep yet."

"Don't tell him I'm here." Hikari asked, because she didn't want him to see her like that. All ugly and beat up. Nono. "Thanks, Beckie."

"Oh sure. He's upstairs but keep your voice down just in case," Beckie said and brought the girl to the bedroom. "There's a fresh towel in the bathroom closet. I'll get you a clean pair of pajamas and try to reach someone while you shower."

"Thanks, you're so kind." Hikari said, barely able to keep back the tears of frustration and just you know, so many hormones. But she didn't linger for Beckie to notice, instead she went to the shower.

Beckie tried to get ahold of Nuala but her phone was off. She wasn't sure what else to do so she left her a message for when she turned her phone acknowledge on.since hikari was still in the shower she made up a bed for the girl and something hot to drink.

Hikari showered almost quickly. It didn't take long to get the blood off her face and knees. The water hurt hitting her in certain places. Bruised and battered she was. She wrapped the towel around herself and peeked around the door. "Do you have some antiseptic, please?" She asked quietly.

"Yes, in the kitchen," Beckie said. She brought hikari to the kitchen and went through her medicine cabinet. She took out the first aid kit and everything else that hikari would need. "Here, let me do that," she said and started looking her over.

"Oh, thanks." Hikari said, a little surprised. She had hit a certain age and she'd had to do it herself. She sat up on a stool, so it was easier for Beckie to get her knee's etc. "Did anyone answer?" She asked, feeling a little panicked.

"No, her phone is off," Beckie said apologetically. "They're probably still busy doing...whatever it is they're doing," she said. She wasn't sure she wanted to know. "But I left her a message explaining what happened and to call her as soon as she can. Or to get ahold of them if she's able." She started to attend Hikari's wounds.

"If the fiend attacked me, what was they doing? Did it get them first?" Hikari said, she was so worried. "Or did they miss the thing because it was on me?"

"I don't know," Beckie said. She had absolutely not experience with this sort of thing. "But they're pretty competent so it probably didn't get them first."

"Yeah." Hikari said, she didn't want to mention the countless times they'd messed up because that was just a thing.

Beckie finished up taking care of her wounds. "Don't you worry about it. I'm going to be up for a little bit anyway. Why don't you go rest up and if I get a hold of them and they're not okay, I'll wake you up. How does that sound?"

"Yeah, but... You need rest still. It'll be better if you do. I'll call Drake in the morning, it's okay." Hikari said, because she knew that Beckie hadn't been sleeping well. "I'll leave my phone on loud, I always wake up to it. So if they call I'll know."

The next morning came.


The police had finally located Drake who was the suspect on the attack on Hikari.


The hotel had confirmed that he was in the room with Nuala.


They burst into the room with no warning. Drake was yanked out of the bed completely bare ass naked. He was then thrust down face first into the bed with his hands pinned behind his back.


The shouting was enough to wake up Nuala who was not used to being woken in such a manner. Not once in her life.
