"No, just at the closest place I can rest my head." Bobby explained, he would make sure there was rooms for Drake and Hikari as well.

"Yeah we usually stay close. Hikari can get a cab or something, it's okay." Drake said they'd looked after themselves since they were babies. It was fine.

"Isn't she a little young to be on her own?" Nuala asked with some concern. She got that hunters were all supposed to be tough guys but that was a young girl. And there was a fiend pretending to be people they knew out there.

"No, she's been looking after herself since she was 9. Don't worry about it." Bobby said, with a shrug. "She is more like 20 with some things and others she's still 13."

"Our family is weird. Don't worry about it." Drake said and pulled up a the motel. Bobby took the box and said their goodbyes for the evening.

Nuala replied with a goodbye back and sat there in the backseat watching him go into the hotel. She thought that all families had their weird moments. "So you'll want to head south to get to the burger joint," she spoke up finally. "I've been there a couple of times. Good food. Can't speak for their beer."

"You want to sit up front with the big kids now?" Drake asked with a laugh, he wouldn't make her sit in the back, but he was sure that she was used to that.

"Can I?" Nuala asked with a laugh. She got out of the car and got into the front seat. "I never get to sit up here. It's a nicer view." She was lucky she'd even been allowed to learn how to drive. She rarely got to exercise such knowledge though. She mostly flew everywhere.

"You need to rebel a little more often and not just by taking bad boys to get burgers and whatever else he can get after, I say that in the nicest way possible." Drake laughed as he drove off. He followed her directions though.

Nuala laughed. "Oh I rebel plenty. I just pick my battles with my parents wisely," she said and directed him to the burger joint. It really wasn't far at all. There were a few others there but not many given the hour. "Although I'm curious how much of your bad boy thing is genuine and how much of it is just for show."

"Depends on your meaning, I'm a good guy. Just that it's hard to have a girlfriend when I don't live in one place. It makes me a heart breaker I guess, not intentional. But that's okay." Drake shrugged, he was pretty up front about it. He helped Nuala into her seat.

"Heartbreak happens," Nuala said and looked down briefly at the menu. "Any girl who thinks she can have something serious and long term with a nomad is seriously fooling herself. I have no sympathy."

"Nor do I really. Especially as I put it out there that I've never spent more than a year in one place." Drake shrugged, he glanced at the menu. He just wanted the biggest burger they had with everything on it. "I'm surprised you want a burger and not a salad, don't be mad. But you aren't a typical princess."

"What do you think is a typical princess?" Nuala asked curiously. She was ordering a original cheeseburger and chocolate with strawberry milkshake. "We aren't what people often think we are, delicate and pretty things to just sit there and make lovely wives for princes."

"That's not what I thought either. I mean, you're just brought up to rule countries. So I expect a prim and proper lady. Plus a lot of them are prudes," Drake said with a laugh.

"Just brought up to rule countries?" Nuala repeated with a laugh. "Do you know what all goes into that? There's so much I have to know how to do and of course I do have to be prim and proper when the time calls for it but that's not all the time. I am allowed to be myself. No one wants a boring old prude. And I'm only sixteen."

"Why do girls have to dissect compliments? Is it so hard to just accept them?" Drake asked, he was amused though. It made him wary of doing it.

"I wasn't," Nuala said with a laugh. "I'm sorry. Just how you said it was so funny to me. I'm quite happy that I don't fit the princess prude model you had in mind." She placed her order. She didn't always like salad though it was yummy sometimes.

Drake laughed, he couldn't help it. "Me too," he said as he made his order. It included beer. Because he was like that.

Nuala preferred chocolate milkshakes to beer. She thought that one was a no brainer. But she didn't expect the same of him. "So tell me about you," she requested. "Do you like being a hunter?"

"Yes, I like that I get to help people and that I get to see a lot of the world." Drake said, but he didn't like to talk about himself. "So, as a non prude, this little smart outfit is probably hiding the sexiest of underwear, am I right?" He grinned.

Nuala started laughing. He'd begun by answering her question but he'd kept it short and redirected it back at her with a quite perverted comment. "Hm, I could just tell you but I think that would take the fun away. Don't you?"

"Are you going to let me find out for myself then? I do like a mystery." Drake said as he thought that over.

"Hm, I think I just might," Nuala said. "I'm sure you can find a way to convince me." She sounded confident there. But she was hoping that he would. He was so very hot and she wasn't against having a little fun. It would take her mind off the awful things going on.

"I can think of ways, or reasons why you should." Drake said but paused for a moment as the food had arrived and the waitress didn't need to hear it. "Multiple, actually." He said. Such innuendo.

"Well, I think I'll give you the chance to convince me once we've finished here," Nuala said with a little wink. She wanted the food. But she'd not finish her burger. She would finish all of the milkshake.

"You should finish that, you'll need the energy." Drake said with a laugh as he literally devoured his. It was hard for men to look attractive with their mouths full, but he was one that could pull it off quite well.
