That Creepy One with the Skin

"Really?" Nuala asked a little doubtful. She didn't believe he had so much stamina to keep her going that long. Most boys her age really didn't. She was lucky if they could last even an hour. But she finished her burger anyway out of pure curiosity.

"Man, you were so confident in me just now. Suddenly you doubt," Drake said, but he was a big believer in foreplay being just as important as the actual sex. So she was going to be surprised.

"Can you blame me? Most boys our age are not that great yet," Nuala said. "But you aren't like most boys, are you Drake?" she asked. Food done, she was plenty ready for him to whisk her away and prove that he wasn't.

"And you're not most princesses, are you nuala?" Drake asked in return and paid the bill. He'd eaten all of his food and drank all of his beer. But then he stood up and held out his hand for her. "Maybe we are both full of shit, maybe we aren't. Let's go find out."

Nuala took his hand. "Let's," she said. She would have paid. She had plenty in the way of money and he was helping out some of her good friends. But in the moment of flirting she'd forgotten to insist. Oh well.

Drake escorted her out to the car and opened the passenger side door for her. "My lady," he said in a playful fashion before heading over to his side of the car.

Nuala got into the car and waited. She assumed they were going back to the little motel he'd gotten a room at. As long as they were alone she didn't much care. Though she was quite amused by what eh'd done with being so very polite with her.

Drake was good at being polite when he wanted to be. They did go to the little motel, it wasn't nearly as fancy as she was likely used too, but she was aware of where they were staying before they had flirted. So she could have declined if it wasn't good enough.

Still he opened doors for her and was nice enough before getting to his room. He didn't waste any time in finding out the mystery of what was under her clothes.

Nor did he hang about in showing her that he wasn't most guys and let her do the same. Neither of them would be disappointed in the night they had shared.

Drake wasn't so rude as to kick a girl out of his bed either. So she would have stayed the night if she wanted.

Nuala stayed the night with Drake. She was very satisfied with how it had all gone and had someone bring her things to his motel. No questions asked of course. So in the morning when she woke she had clean clothes to change into and things to do up her hair with. She wore another lovely but casual dress with heels, her hair in loose waves passed her hips and decorated with beads and feathers.

Do you have people who do your hair for you? Or is it witch craft?" Dean asked as he came out of the shower. He needed coffee. But he was pleasantly satisfied from the night before, as well as a little smug that he'd been as awesome as he'd promised. "Just as a warning, if it's witch craft we are likely going to fall out. I hate witches."

Hikari bounded into her brothers room, coffee and breakfast in hand. She stopped and just stared at Nuala for a moment. "Uhh... Bobby said another murder happened. So you gotta hurry up."

"The feeling is decidedly mutual," Nuala answered. She didn't have much love for witches after what had been done to her brother. "Although it is a sort of magic. I'm a Wind Runner." That meant she was elementally connected to the element of air.

She looked away from Drake to the door when Hikari came in. The shock on the girl's face was a little amusing but she said nothing at all. Her expression became crestfallen at the news Hikari gave though. "Oh no," she said unhappily.

"Yup." Hikari said and awkwardly put her breakfast down with Drake's. She'd let nuala have it and her coffee. "So I'll just see you in the car." She said and left quickly.

"It looks pretty, regardless of how you did it." Drake said as he pulled on jeans and a t-shirt quickly. He grabbed the coffee that was for him and the breakfast sandwich. "Help yourself, but if you want to join us this morning you gotta breathe the food in. Bobby doesn't like it in his car."

"Understandable," Nuala said. Her father had the same rule about their cars broken only for special occasions. "I can be quick," she said. She felt a little bad though. From hikari's expression this food hadn't been meant for her. But the girl had run off already. So she ate it quickly. She was just as eager to catch the rotten thing haunting the town.

"Why that face?" Drake asked, the guilt had been an easy thing to read for him. "because this food was Hikari's? She's scoffing something before we get into the car, probably. But she's also going through that awkward stage of eating makes her fat and then boys or girls don't like her. I'll make her have a bigger lunch, no worries."

"Oh I remember that phase," Nuala said. "I do not miss being that awkward. She's going to grow out of it though and be utterly gorgeous." She could tell. She quickly drank the coffee though she didn't need it. She was a morning person for sure.

"I don't want to think about that." Drake admitted, as he had to do the dad thing. He didn't want to fight off all the boys. "I know boys, I am one. She doesn't need that."

"You know somehow I think she'll be capable of handling boys on her own," Nuala said, amused. Hikari was a hunter. If she could handle monsters she could handle horny teenage boys.

"Well yeah, but she's still a girl. She has hormones and needs. She also has abandonment issues. So she's going to struggle." Drake said and he didn't want her too. He wanted her to feel like she was enough. "anyway," he said and shoved the entire breakfast sandwich in his mouth. "We should go."

Nuala laughed. Drake was such a boy. "Where are we going specifically? The crime scene?" If the cops still believed their story then they should be allowed to check it out.

Drake nodded as he swallowed and sipped his coffee. "Yes, maybe there's a witness or something we can talk too."

"Doubtful there's someone that has seen its true form though. It would have killed them," Nuala said. She finished the coffee and was ready to meet Bobby and Hikari at the car.

"Yeah, but they might have seen where it's hiding." Drake pointed out. He pulled on a jacket that made him look reasonably smart and checked that his badge was still in there. "Let's go."

"You look good cleaned up," Nuala commented but then followed him to the car. She loved the smell of early morning air when everything was still a little damp and you could see the cobwebs from the dew.

"Thanks, so do you." Drake said with a laugh, he opened the back door for her, she'd have to sit in there while he was up front.

"Are you dropping me off at Jake's?" Hikari asked, she wasnt allowed on active crime scenes.

"For a little bit, unless you want to stay here?" Bobby asked turning around in the car to look at her.

"Nah, that family needs someone right now. So I'll hang there and come back here a bit later."

"Okay," Bobby said and then said good morning to the other two.

"Good morning, Bobby," Nuala said as she got into the car. She didn't mind sitting in the back. At least this time Hikari was there too. "Thank you for breakfast and coffee," she said to Hikari. "I'm so glad you can be there for Jake." She felt just awful for that family. She wondered which one had had their world turned over with this morning.
