Krei Interview

After leaving Valery, Nicki headed towards where Krei was. Not that he lived with the dragons that she was aware of, just that everyone was hanging out with them today. To make her life easier. "Ello, dark and mysterious." She said, as she sat down with him, using the nickname she'd secretly given him. "How are you doing today?"

Krei smirked at the nickname he had been given. " I'm doing fantastic," he said. There were animals all over his lap and shoulders.

"I feel there is sarcasm, but knowing you, all the animals is making you feel amazing." Nicki said, shaking her head with a grin. She'd be the same though. "What has brought on such a chipper mood, you were just recently grieving."

"I still am. That's not something I am going to stop doing fully any time soon," Krei admitted. "But I try to live in the moment. It helps me get by. Right now is a good moment," he said as he looked down at all the animals that had swarmed him.

"I can't disagree." Nicki said, being covered in furry babies was a definite life goal. "So let me get the awkward questions out of the way first. How many people have you killed?"

Krei laughed. He wasn't the least bit insulted by that question. He could have been but he wasn't. "Truthfully? The number will surprise you. I haven't killed a soul."

"I don't believe you and let me tell you why." Nicki said, leaning back on her chair slightly, her eyes narrowing because the guy was lying to her. "When it was discussed back in lavender town, your answer was that you hadn't killed anyone since going to that town, no way are you the leader of a group of assassin's without having done the job, because if that's the case, they're more stupid than I assumed in the first place."

Krei laughed so hard that it jiggled the animals on his lap up and down. "You misunderstand. I have not killed directly. Indirectly is a whole different matter. Besides, not all of my brothers are trained assassins. Some are politicians, some celebrities, social figures and the like. We are quite specialized. So yes, I do have assassins, but they don't make up the majority by any means."

"So explain your group and what they stand for and how they plan to achieve their goal? I have thought them somewhat chaotic good and they sound massively watered down the more I hear and it's disappointing me if I'm honest," Nicki said, because it was true. One minute hardcore group, next minute fairies. Oh dear.

"Well I'd hate to disappoint you," Krei said. "It's true that the original brothers were a bit different from what we are today. High King Akio worried that the peace between the regions was tenuous as it was so new. People being on their best behavior when watched, he felt like he couldn't get a good idea of who was working towards the goal of peace and who was merely faking it to his face. So he brought his brothers together and tasked them to find out the things that were hidden from him and deal with the unwanted accordingly. So traditionally we have been aid to the High King, dealing with issues as they come up, but mostly we work towards the original goal. Especially now as the High King is missing. And by no means do we always handle things in a clean fashion. We manipulate, blackmail, deceive and even kill when necessary. As for me being leader, my age is a factor."

"You're way young for a leader," Nicki agreed as she mulled that over. It was still a bit disappointing, but not nearly as much as before. "How did you manage to get mixed up with them and then become leader?"

"They found me roaming an old ruined temple with Ace. They took pity on me for being orphaned and I was chosen by xerneas they thought me important enough to keep rather than put in a home," Krei said. "I stayed with them rather than try my luck with a normal family. As for becoming leader, when the previous one retired I was chosen. It's nothing fantastic. We do trials. The top three are voted upon. As for my age, I'm turning 60 come spring," Krei said with a smile.

"is it fuck," Nicki said, surprised. The words just fell out of her mouth, they hadn't really been thought about. At all. Just happened. "You lie!" She accused.

Krei laughed again. " I appear to have inherited my father's longevity. I'm not sure to what extent but I can assure you that I am quite old enough to be your father. "

"That's weird." Nicki said, she... Wow. That was mental. "Almost tempted to ask if you're a vampire, considering your darker look. Geezus."

"Most people assume that of me," Krei said with a mischievous smile. "I have to admit that I don't dislike it."

"You can get all the young ladies. Speaking of, what the fuck with Honey? That was gross." Nicki said seriously, she got it to a point. But still. So gross.

"Yeah... I did nothing with that girl," Krei said. "I am not that gross. I told her I wanted to go slow. We held hands and that's it. She was never into me in actuality so it was easy not to."

"I don't mean it was gross like that, it's not like you'd be a pedo unless she's underage." Nicki shrugged, just Honey in general. "I just can't believe you did that."

"Oh," Krei said as he suddenly understood. "Yes, that was unpleasant. I really wanted no part in that but you know what they say about keeping your enemies close. I am not pleased with how it ended but I am not sorry that it is over."

"I'm not sorry either." Nicki said, because Honey being dead was too funny. Too funny. "Are you finding it easy to become part of the group? Or is the lack of trust is getting in the way?"

"Some of them are quite welcoming. I find Drake and hikari to be very nice. Mireya as well. But there's definitely a lack of trust that's causing some issues. And I know that what I would say in my defense would be thought as lies. Even you thought so." Krei shrugged. "I'm hoping to show through action what I cannot in words."

"Actions definitely speak louder," she agreed with a nod. "What do you think of your uncles so far? I know they're both happy to have finally met you, even if one isn't showing it."

"I really like Jiyong. He seems to have taken to me so much better than Taeyang. If he likes me at all. I know you say he does but I haven't found evidence of it yet," Krei said. He sounded very relaxed about it and not hurt even if he might have been feeling it "I am happy to have met them. I do like to meet most of my father's family. I could do without one of my uncles," he added with a chuckle.

"Who couldn't?" Nicki agreed, no one likes Yveltal. No one would ever like him. "So I guess at your age you've been married and had kids already?"
