Cam Interview

Graveyards were great, but not comfortable on ones butt. So Nicki was only a little disappointed to have to leave it and change it for something more inviting to most and definitely more plush to sit on.

"Hello there, lovely. Are you ready to answer some questions for me?" She asked of Cam once she was comfortable on the sofa beside him.

Cameron smiled at her as he relaxed on the couch. "I am ready," he said. "Answering your questions should be pretty easy."

"Are you doubting the integrity of my questions?" Nicki laughed, she was trying to make light of it as some of the things she planned to ask wouldnt be pleasant.

"I would never," cam replied with a hand over his heart.

Nicki laughed again, "Yes, you would. Because you're a big playful jerk, aren't ya? I think it's why Hikari likes you so much, plus the silver hair and such."

"I don't know many people who could say they were liked because they were a jerk," Cameron said. "That's a special accomplishment."

"A playful jerk isn't a bad kind of jerk," Nicki said with a grin. "How are you liking it in the manor so far? Getting along okay with the residents?"

"No trouble so far," Cameron said. "I'm just glad that no one is angry at me for her kidnapping."

"Well it wasn't you, directly and you got her home so that helps." Nicki pointed out, if he'd been the one to take her she was sure it would have been different. "Do you miss the sect?"

"In a way," Cameron said. "I spent a lot of time personally training the men there. Not just to be better soldiers but better men. I miss the friends I made."

"Aww," Nicki said, that was pretty sad. "Do you regret your decision to stay here because of that?"

"No," Cameron replied. "I have to look out for my sister above all else. And I can do that better out from under my father's thumb."

"You can, that's very true. Are you thinking of bringing your sister here? It might be safer." nicki asked curiously.

"I don't know if it would be or not. My father has surely figured out by now where I am. He'll be monitoring this place. If I bring her here then he'll know where she is."

"Makes sense." Nicki said, but then there was definitely more gods here to protect her. "What's your favourite thing about being here?"

Everything here is so relaxed," Cameron said. "It's not military like. I find that nice. I'm too disciplined to be lazy but it's nice that I have the option ."

"It's definitely refreshing. How are the nightmares?" Nicki asked, she'd eased into that slowly hoping he wouldn't clam up.

"They haven't quieted," Cameron replied. "They are still the same. I feel as if I should be used to them now but I'm not. They're no less easier to deal with than when I first started to have them. I don't think that I'll be free of them until the man that caused them is finally dead."

"Isnt Hikari helping with that?" nicki asked she thought that was part of their relationship.

"Yeah, she's trying. I don't think that it's something that will quickly go away. I can fall asleep easier knowing that when I do travel to that dark place in my dreams, she'll be there to pull me out," Cameron said. "And that helps."

"That's good, it's better knowing someone has your back." Nicki agreed, because she'd needed that once and someone had been there for her. "You're literally made of steel though, so I'm curious as to how that person managed to hurt you so bad that you died? I know that's a rough question, sorry."

"I have very few weaknesses so I can see where you might wonder about that," Cameron said. "There are very few things that can hurt me. I am made of steel and water. both are excellent conductors of electricity. So when you used a weapon charged with electricity..." He just trailed off and let her think about that.

"Ouch, I'm so sorry." Nicki said, because that sucked. So bad. He would have literally cooked. Ew. Ew. She didn't show that thought on the outside though. Just compassion. "What do you have planned for the rest of your time with the group? Is it going to be a permanent thing?"

"I don't know," Cameron said. "Right now I'm just taking it one day at a time. I'm not sure I have a long term goal. More a short term one of keeping Hikari and Clara out of my father's hands," he said. "After that, I'm not sure what I'll do. But I suppose some of that depends on Hikari too. I want to return and make good use of the men I trained, have it be for the right purpose and not my father's misguided one. But I don't know that I can do that if I'm with Hikari, who will surely want to stay with her brother."

"Maybe," Nicki said, not really giving away either way with Hikari and her thoughts on that. "Does that mean you want a long or short term thing with Hikari?" Because if that affected whether or not he could return home, it might affect his decision on that.
